PROJECTS
Structura was founded with a clear mission: to use interactive works, the language of video games, and the mechanics of play as tools for cultural, artistic, and social development. Our projects operate across multiple dimensions: critical research, cultural dissemination, advanced education, and initiatives that promote video games as a mature medium capable of generating knowledge, reflection, and real-world impact.
Each Structura project emerges from the intersection of academic expertise, professional experience, and a cultural vision of video games as interactive works. We collaborate with universities, cultural institutions, publishers, creative studios, and industry professionals to develop initiatives that combine theoretical rigor, experimentation, and international openness.
Our projects range from editorial production to specialized training, from critical research to the creation of opportunities for emerging talents. The goal remains constant: to contribute to the cultural growth of video games and to support the emergence of a new generation of authors, critics, and professionals capable of understanding and shaping this language.
The Game Dam

The Game Dam is an editorial and cultural project dedicated to preserving and enhancing the memory of video games. Like a dam protecting against the erosion of time, the project gathers and organizes critical essays, reflections, and analyses focused on the history, language, and cultural impact of interactive works.
Each season of the project revolves around a specific theme and unfolds through a series of articles published on Vgmag. At the end of the season, these contributions are expanded and collected into a book published in both Italian and international editions, featuring forewords and contributions from distinguished voices, including figures from outside the video game sector.
Game Horizons

Game Horizons is a research and dissemination initiative dedicated to exploring the evolving frontiers of interactive works. Through talks, interviews, editorial content, and academic activities, the project examines the transformation of video game language, technological evolution, and the growing role of interactive experiences in contemporary culture.
Game Horizons brings together developers, scholars, designers, and international creators to reflect on the future of the medium, with particular attention to works that carry strong artistic, narrative, and social value.
Vgmag Video Game Journalism Course

Structura contributes to the validation and development of the academic program of the Video Game Journalism Course promoted by Vgmag and Idra Editing. The course aims to train a new generation of critics and professionals capable of writing about video games with competence, cultural awareness, and independent judgment.
The program approaches video game journalism not only as an editorial activity, but as a critical and cultural practice able to interpret the medium, analyze its language, and understand its role within contemporary society.
Adopt an Indie

Adopt an Indie is an international contest dedicated to the localization of independent video games. The project connects indie developers with emerging localization professionals, offering students and aspiring localizers the opportunity to work on real projects and engage with the linguistic and cultural challenges of video game translation.
Conceived by Structura and developed in collaboration with GameLoc Academy, the contest acts as a bridge between education and industry, helping discover new talents while supporting the global circulation of independent interactive works.
