Structura is an independent cultural organization working in the field of interactive arts, with a particular focus on the video game as a cultural work, an expressive language, and a relational device.
The organization was founded with the aim of contributing to a conscious and non-reductive understanding of interactivity, moving beyond approaches that confuse the video game with its technological support or reduce it to a form of entertainment devoid of cultural status. For Structura, the video game is an interactive work, the product of an authorial process, and fully part of the humanistic tradition of media.
Structura promotes a vision of the video game grounded in the interactive experience and in the plurality of its forms. Narrative, non-narrative and semi-narrative works, experiences based on challenge or exploration, experimental, political, artistic or educational works all help define a complex medium that requires appropriate critical tools and a clear sense of cultural responsibility.
At the root of Structura lies a long-standing cultural and professional path in the fields of video games and interactive works, developed through editorial activity, theoretical research, university teaching and cultural design, and recognized internationally through participation in juries, boards and leading cultural bodies in the sector.
Structura today represents a new, autonomous and future-oriented chapter of this path. An independent project, free from industrial constraints, that operates as a space for research, design and cultural consultancy on video games and interactivity.
